Today I present more thoughts regarding the definition of digital literacy.
I believe that to begin to master digital literacy at the very least, requires that you must:
* have good information literacy skills
* know your learning style. For example: are you an auditory, visual, or kinesthetic learner?)
* know metacognitive strategies you can apply to learn information when the learning is not going well.
* commit to being a life-long learner.
Further digital literacy research has led me to Yoram Eshet-Alkalai’s work. This professor has presented a framework of five literacies within digital literacy. This framework makes sense to me and in the upcoming weeks I look to share posts which show an integration of his ideas along with the requirements that I have given above.
Stayed tuned as my thoughts regarding digital literacy get refined. (I promise we will be learning together.)
